This project was done while working for WALK – a creative agency based in my hometown (Aveiro, Portugal) – and the briefing was to create the visual identity for a new local restaurant called “O BAIRRO” (translated: the neighbourhood). The idea was to

This restaurant is situated in the middle of Aveiro’s historical centre and the owner wanted to capture the feeling of its location, of the “Bairro”. So I took inspiration from its local people (fishermen and women who sell the fish for example), as well as from the restaurant’s floor tiles. For this project, I worked together with the agency’s creative director at the time (also the restaurant’s co-owner) and my responsibilities included:

• creation of the restaurant’s logo
• illustrations for the menus
• mural painting inside the Restaurant, as part of the decoration
